Only Two More Days

Excitement is building now as we are only a couple of days away from our mission trip to the Yanamarca Valley (Just by the way, I found an interesting history of Jauja and the Yanamarca Valley online here). Many of the logistical arrangements are being finalized, money has come in, surprise blessings have been uncovered, and our minds are constantly thinking about those in Peru. We also got a great report from our partner church in Canada that was really encouraging. They had a very productive trip last week; read about it here.

We really need prayer. We feel like God is working, and that He has heard our prayers for the last couple of years to move upon this valley of unreached peoples. We need you to pray that doors will be open for the gospel, and that we will find those persons of peace, especially in the three district capitals that no one has been to with the gospel. Pray that schools would be open to us, and that the gospel would clearly go forth. Pray that we would have wisdom as to how to minister in these towns and villages, especially during the evenings. Pray that our efforts would result in churches being born from the disciples that are made. Pray that we are willing and flexible with everything, and most importantly; that God will be glorified!

If you haven't seen the other two prayer posts for Peru, make sure you look over them below (here and here), and lift us up. We really need several of you to commit to praying for us each day that we are there. I know it sounds crazy, but you might even fast (that means go without food, it borders on blasphemy for baptists) for the nations and peoples in the Yanamarca. And remember our families too, as they are home awaiting our return.

Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
-Hebrews 13:20-21
